Dear CSDS Families,
We are so excited to get our dancers back in the studio for in person classes. Below are a list of policies and procedures we will follow for fall classes here at Center Stage to ensure the safety for all. We are following all CDC and Federal Government rules and guidelines to start operations. We appreciate your understanding and compliance of these new protocols. The studio has been professionally sanitized and freshly re-painted for our September opening. We are looking forward to getting back to in person classes as well as Zoom. DANCE keeps kids healthy in body, mind and spirit.
General Information
All CSDS' Staff have been tested for COVID -19. We will continue daily wellness checks for all staff, frequent hand cleaning, enhanced distancing practices, curricular and facility adjustments and continuous parent communication.
All Dancers will have to complete a Covid-19 Pre-Screening. Parents will need to accompany their dancer for drop off until we enter phase 5. Dancers will have their temperature checked. The CDC considers a person to have a fever when he/she has measured a temperature of 100.4. The screening questions are listed below.
Class sizes have been reduced and will be strictly adhered to. Dance Room floors have been marked off in 6ft squares to ensure as much social distancing as possible. All dancers will be required to wear a mask upon entering the studio and throughout their class until state orders are lifted. Dancers will be given a “Mask Break” when sitting stationary in their square for a water break.
Arrival
With the new protocols in place it will be important for dancers to arrive on time for class start. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early for class. (Sanitizing of each dance room will be taking place in between each class from the previous class. We will not let the next class in until all protocols are met.) There will be social distanced stars on the sidewalk where parents & dancers can wait for screening upon entry.
Dancers should come completely dressed for class with shoes and water bottle in a dance bag that will go directly with them to their dance room. Drinking fountains will be closed until further notice. The locker rooms will be closed at this time for storage of personal belongings. The locker rooms will be open for the use of bathroom facilities. Bathroom visits will be limited to one dancer at a time. Please make sure to go before arriving for class so we keep to necessity.
There will be 3 different traffic patterns depending on which dance room your class is in.
Studio 1 – Enter and go left directly into Studio 1
Studio 2 – Enter and veer right. Follow the cut through by the snack counter directly to Studio 2.
Studio 3 - Enter and stay right passing by the study lounge directly into Studio 3.
Once dancers have completed the screening, they will go to sanitizing station located outside each Studio and then directly into their dance room.
If your Pre-Primary dancer is experiencing difficulty entering the building without you, you will be allowed to walk them to their classroom. Once class starts you will need to exit and wait outside of the building.
Parents will be able to view their dancer weekly in class using our upgraded logistics camera and sound via zoom. Each class will be assigned a Zoom code. The code for class will be the same code for the entire year of class.
Exiting Class
At class end, dancers will sanitize their hands, gather belongings and be taken to the exit door. Dancers will exit out the back door of the studio. This is where you will pick up your dancer.
Dancers that have multiple classes will use the exit door and follow the sidewalk around to front entrance and re-enter with their next class. They may at this time enjoy a healthy snack packed in their bag.
Reminders
At CSDS, we have always had hand sanitizer stations located outside each dance room. We will continue this protocol with vigilance. All dance rooms will be sanitized between classes including door knobs, ballet barres, mats, bathrooms or any other teaching tools used during class. Our Flooring will be cleaned nightly with Microban 24. Unlike Lysol (which kills germs and bacteria that are present at the time), Microban 24 continues to disinfect bacteria/viruses for long lasting protection for 24 hours on surfaces.
Please sanitize dance bags and masks after class.
All Classes will be zoomed each week. Dancers not able to attend live classes for any reason are welcome to join us virtually. If your dancer has a cold, please keep them home and utilize the virtual option for class. Don’t forget your masks for class.
We are excited to start our 36th season here at CSDS. There may be changes to these protocols throughout the year as we will follow all CDC Guidelines for the safety of your dancer. Thank you for choosing Center Stage!
Blessings,
Miss. Lisa & Staff
